EXAMPLE OF ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY

EXAMS SHOULD BE ABOLISHED

            Exams a word that many students dread to hear a word that seems to have magical power to transformed happy and cheerful person into a frustrated and nervous wreck. Exams are always the only way to test and estimate the students understand or not with the material that has been taught in learning. Even though some people believe that exams in school are the most accurate form of testing, I believe that exams are not useful for the students for some reasons.

            First, exams have been an important part of the education system, which gives teacher an evaluation of students’ learning capability and a dynamic check of their progress during the course. Exams are necessary, because it is the only way that students can prove their knowledge’s. However, exams are not always objective. For example, the result of oral examination is usually deeply influenced by the teachers attitude to the concrete students it does not reflect only students’ knowledge.

            Second, students take many oral and written exams in the years of schooling. The students’ have to be evaluated by their teachers to see whether they make progress or not. Exams are essential because exams test students’ skill and enable them to overcome their nerves and make the students’ perform well. They will spend their time to learning for a long time and they will get the best result for their exams. Although, they have been learning for a long time, the result may be unsatisfied and they cannot overcome their nerves so they may not perform well.

            All in all, exams are not useful for the students’. Therefore, examinations should be abolished. In my opinion, exams make the students under tremendous stress and while students are in great sress and exam is not the objective way to prove their knowledge’s and we should change the exams with the superior system of measuring achievement and understanding.
